Reasons why you should move out of the city and into the country

blog24

We all know that the fast paced city life is something that everyone in the city has come to accept for granted, it is the lifeblood of the city itself. The hustle and bustle of the city are something that everyone who has spent a considerable amount of time in the city has gotten used to. But despite it being a constant part of our lives, it takes a lot from us. The constant deadlines, systems, laws, surveillance, traffic, crowds, sounds, lights, jobs and everything else can get to be a little tiring, so it is always nice to experience the flip side of that. We are not saying completely move out from civilization, but just move somewhere where the pressure is less and where you are closer to nature. If that sounds appealing to you then you will like the idea of living a rural area. If you have never stepped foot outside the big city, then you are certainly a little wary if such a move is in your best interest, after all, you could get bored, miss the constant stimulus, or just your old routines.

If you are thinking of moving to the country, but are not sure if such a move is the right step for you, East Coast to West Coast Movers has put together a list of reasons why life in the countryside is good for you. So feel free to read on and see if the rural lifestyle is something that you can see yourself enjoying.

Peace and quiet

As many people who used to live in the city and then relocated to the country can tell you, one of the first things you will notice is how much quieter the environment is. The constant car honks, shouts, commotion and city sounds are replaced by the sounds of nature. You will be able to hear the chirping of birds, sounds of leaves and other things that were usually ignored and hardly noticed.

The downside to this is that it takes some getting used to, many people who moved to the country complained that it was too quiet at first. It is such a sharp contrast to the sounds of a busy city that it leaves many surprised to not have so much sound pollution around them. The good news is that you get used to it and learn to enjoy the periods of quietness you can experience there, and once you do that you start paying attention to sounds that you usually wouldn’t hear.

Cleaner environment.

The other thing that people who have spent a lot of time in the city notice when they move to the country is how much cleaner it is. Not only the physical environment but things like the air, light and as we already mentioned the sound. Things like the roads are less littered and the biggest difference is the absence of light pollution which you will notice at night when you look up and see a wonderful and clear starry sky.

As all things bring something good, there is also a downside. An environment with less pollution and commotion means that there is more opportunity for animals, this includes the likes of insects and pests, to prosper. So if you are the type of person that will run for the hills at the sight of wildlife or a bug then you might not want to leave the city in a hurry. The bright side to this is that many of the people who left the city and didn’t like animals that much have grown to respect and appreciate the animals around them in the country. Being around them and seeing them in their day to day lives has given them a better look and a better understanding of such beings and with that respect and understanding, there was also less fear.

Slower pace of life

As we have already clearly mentioned and which is one of the major things that attract many of the people from the big cities to move to rural areas, is the slower pace of things. The rush hours, traffic jams, panicked hurrying and other things that just make you wish there was more time in the day are all irrelevant anymore. In the countryside, you are free to sit and enjoy things at your pace, and by doing so you can enjoy every moment as it comes and not have to worry about what will happen f you do not make it somewhere.

The downside to a more peaceful life is that it can get boring after some time. This is a problem that mostly the younger generations will face since they are in constant need of stimulus and excitement, or at least a gaming console. Nevertheless despite the slower way of life there is sure to be some sort of activity that will help get you focused on something and using your time to develop a new skill.

Healthier food

One of the great things that the country provides is the access to fresh and organic food homegrown food.  If eating healthy is something that you enjoy than a move to the country is sure to provide you with cheaper and healthier food, compared to the city. If you are a person that has grown food in the city and already has a green thumb then you will be able to expand your garden and get much more for your efforts.

The only possible drawback to the healthier food is if you have gotten used to the fast food and junk food that is widespread in the bigger cities. But do not worry, the countryside isn’t completely devoid of such food, there are definitely places where you can treat yourself to a burger or two. But once you get used to the healthy and fresh product, you won’t even feel the urge to eat such food.

Friendly neighborhood.

In the city, everyone is in a hurry to get somewhere and where people are always looking how to get the best of their time, which makes people relatively disconnected, sure you can have a chat with somebody but chances are that making a connection or seeing that person again is probably not going to happen. The country, on the other hand, has people who have a strong sense of community and tend to form longer lasting and deeper bonds. This is because people in the country are usually there to help each other and rely on each other for support. Therefore the country is definitely the right place to be if you want to experience people who are open and willing to be there for help and support.
